Caffeine

I listen to jazz

and drink

chocolate coffee.

... Headphones,

so I don't

disturb the others.

I imagine past times.

They seem like lives ago.

Walks, rain, autumn,

laughs, wails.

I am a child

walking across the bridge,

sad, crying.

I am young,

lost, and angry

in a world

I can not comprehend.

I am old,

trying to make sense

of it all.
